Photographed March 7th, 2010 at the War Memorial in Richmond, VA.
Etched onto the glass of the memorial is the names of all those who died in the Vietnam War, these names appear to be super imposed over the city itself as you look through the glass and out over the skyline.
A moving scene for sure and one that serves to remind us that there wouldn't be a Richmond if not for the sacrifices made by countless soldiers and freedom fighters.
Sorry for the melancholy moment but spent the day touring this site and Hollywood Cemetery where former presidents and Confederate soldiers and generals lie in eternal rest, really drives the whole freedom point home.
